Multiple or Overlapping Concerns?

It is very common for sexual and relational difficulties to overlap rather than existing in isolation.

For example, changes in desire may be linked with anxiety, relationship strain, physical changes, or difficulties with intimacy following stressful or traumatic experiences.

Part of the assessment process is understanding how these factors interact, rather than treating them separately.

You do not need to identify a single cause before seeking support.

If you are experiencing a combination of:

  • changes in sexual desire

  • difficulties with arousal or erections

  • anxiety around sex or intimacy

  • relationship strain or avoidance of closeness

  • uncertainty about what feels different

this is already enough information to begin the process of assessment.

If you are unsure where your experience fits, complete my contact form or get in touch via email. I can then advise on the most appropriate next step.
